For teams under 50 people the chart points to HubSpot CRM (free for 2 seats, $9 a seat after), Pipedrive ($14) or Zoho CRM ($14) depending on whether you need marketing, a pure pipeline or the lowest price at 20+ seats. Salesforce is the only CRM here rated Excellent for enterprise. Agencies should look at GoHighLevel ($97 a month flat, unlimited users), startups at Attio (free for 3 seats) and email-led businesses at ActiveCampaign ($15 a month for 1,000 contacts).

Business size suitability
How well each CRM fits a company of that size on a mainstream tier, weighing price per seat, administration effort and the ceiling you hit as you grow.
Industry focus
Fit for common verticals. Excellent usually means a dedicated edition (Salesforce Health Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud) or a feature set built for that industry; Limited means you would be fighting the tool. Our industry guides rank specialist CRMs that are not in this chart.
Core features compared
Rated on what a typical paid tier includes. Basic means present but thin or sold as an add-on (Pipedrive Campaigns, ActiveCampaign's Enhanced CRM pipelines).
Pricing breakdown
List prices from each vendor's US pricing page, per user per month billed annually unless stated. Checked September 2026. Read the full CRM cost breakdown for onboarding fees, add-ons and hidden costs.
What you would pay per month
Rules applied: HubSpot is free up to 2 seats, Zoho and Freshsales up to 3, Attio up to 3 (Plus caps at 10 seats, so 20 users are priced on Pro); monday bills a 3-seat minimum; GoHighLevel is a flat monthly fee regardless of users; ActiveCampaign is priced at 1,000 contacts with $12 per user beyond the plan's included users. HubSpot Professional also carries a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee that is not included here.
Ease of use and learning curve
Setup, interface and training effort as we found them in testing the core tools and, for the three newest reviews, from vendor documentation and trial accounts.
Customer support and resources
What each vendor publishes about support channels, self-serve resources and paid onboarding. Enterprise contracts add more than the table shows.
AI and automation in 2026
Which AI assistant each CRM ships, which tier includes it and how the AI is priced. This is the fastest-moving row in the chart; we re-check it with pricing each month.

Finding your CRM match: six checks before you compare features
Feature tables reward the tool with the most ticks. The right CRM is the one your team will still be using in a year, so run these six checks first and let them decide which columns matter.
- Name the pain point you are fixing. Lost follow-ups point to Pipedrive or Freshsales (activity-based selling). Leads going cold after the first email point to HubSpot or ActiveCampaign. No single customer record points to Zoho or Salesforce.
- Price the company you will be in two years, not today. Use the seat calculator at your current headcount and at double. HubSpot and Attio are cheapest small and dearest large; Zoho and Freshsales scale most gently; GoHighLevel does not move at all.
- List the tools that must connect. Google Workspace, Outlook, your accounting and support software, your website forms. Salesforce and HubSpot have the largest marketplaces; Attio and GoHighLevel the smallest, though both cover the mainstream apps.
- Calculate total cost of ownership. Add onboarding fees (HubSpot Professional $1,500), AI add-ons (Freshsales $49 per 100 sessions, GoHighLevel $50 to $97 per sub-account), telephony usage and any partner or admin time. A $14 seat with a part-time admin can cost more than a $25 seat that configures itself.
- Prioritise adoption over depth. Pipedrive, HubSpot, monday and Attio are the tools reps open without being told to. Salesforce and Zoho deliver more only if someone owns the configuration.
- Trial with real data for a real week. Import your actual pipeline, run your actual follow-up cadence and check the mobile app on the road. Every tool here offers a free plan or a 14- to 30-day trial; the free-plan limits are in our best free CRM guide.
