Who we are
BestCRMPick is written and maintained by a small, independent editorial team that does one thing: CRM software research. We don't sell CRM software, we don't take vendor-written content, and we don't publish sponsored reviews disguised as editorial. We publish under a team byline because our reviews are the product of a shared process — the same rubric, the same pricing checks, the same trial accounts — rather than one person's opinion.
How we work
Every review starts from primary sources: the vendor's pricing page, its product documentation, and a trial or free account we set up ourselves. We score each tool on six weighted criteria — ease of use (25%), core features (20%), pricing and value at a realistic team size (20%), scalability (15%), integrations (10%), and support (10%) — and roll those into the single star rating shown on each review. The weights are public on our methodology page, and a 4.5 on one review means the same thing as a 4.5 on another.
Pricing is the part of software content that goes stale fastest, so we treat it differently: every published price is re-checked against the vendor's US pricing page on a monthly cycle, and the verification month is printed on the page. When a vendor renames its tiers or moves a feature between plans — as Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive all did in the past year — we update the review and the comparison pages that reference it.
Editorial standards
Vendor documentation, pricing pages, and hands-on trials. Never other review sites.
Every figure checked monthly on the vendor's own site, with the check month shown.
Every review and every ranked pick names the team that should skip it.
Affiliate commissions and vendor placements are disclosed and don't affect rankings.
Report an error via the contact page and we fix and note it, usually within a few business days.
Illustrations and screenshots are our own; no third-party images or copied structure.
How we make money
Through affiliate commissions when readers sign up for a CRM through our links, and through paid placements from vendors on relevant pages. Both are disclosed in the footer of every page. Neither changes a score, a ranking, or a "who should skip it" line — and we decline placements on pages where they would conflict with an honest recommendation. The full policy is on our About page.
Corrections and contact
If a price, plan name, or feature on this site is out of date, tell us with the page and the detail. Pricing corrections are treated as a priority, not a queue item. Vendors are welcome to flag changes too; we verify against the public pricing page before updating.
