Pick Pipedrive if you are choosing a CRM on its own and want a purpose-built sales pipeline your reps will keep updated; it scores 4.3 and costs $14 per user with no seat minimum. Pick monday CRM if your team already runs projects in monday.com or your sales process does not fit a standard pipeline; it scores 4.4 and starts at $12 per seat with a 3-seat minimum, so $36 a month.
Pipedrive is a CRM that does one thing extremely well. monday CRM is a work-management platform that has been shaped into a CRM. That difference explains almost every row in the tables below. Pipedrive hands you a finished sales tool. monday hands you a kit.
Below we price both at 1, 5 and 20 seats, including the effect of monday's 3-seat minimum, then compare ease of use, features, integrations and support. Facts come from our full Pipedrive review and monday CRM review, scored with the same weighted rubric. Pricing verified Sept 2026.

Pricing
Pipedrive's tiers are Lite $14, Growth $39, Premium $64 and Ultimate $79 per user per month billed annually; monthly billing is higher. monday CRM's are Basic $12, Standard $17 and Pro $28 per seat per month billed annually, or $18, $25 and $41 month to month, with Enterprise on a custom quote. Every monday plan requires at least three seats.
That minimum changes the arithmetic at the bottom of the ladder. A solo user on Pipedrive Lite pays 1 × $14 = $14 a month. The same person on monday Basic pays for three seats: 3 × $12 = $36. At five seats the minimum no longer bites. Five on monday Standard is 5 × $17 = $85 a month, or $1,020 a year, against five on Pipedrive Growth at 5 × $39 = $195, or $2,340 a year. At 20 seats, monday Pro is 20 × $28 = $560 and Pipedrive Growth is 20 × $39 = $780.
| Tier (annual, per seat/mo) | 1 seat | 5 seats | 20 seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pipedrive Lite $14 | $14 | $70 | $280 |
| Pipedrive Growth $39 | $39 | $195 | $780 |
| Pipedrive Premium $64 | $64 | $320 | $1,280 |
| Pipedrive Ultimate $79 | $79 | $395 | $1,580 |
| monday Basic $12 ($18 monthly) | 3-seat minimum → $36 | $60 | $240 |
| monday Standard $17 ($25 monthly) | 3-seat minimum → $51 | $85 | $340 |
| monday Pro $28 ($41 monthly) | 3-seat minimum → $84 | $140 | $560 |
| monday Enterprise | Custom quote | Custom quote | Custom quote |
Two caveats. First, our review found Basic too constrained for most real use: 1,000 active contacts and deals, five columns per board and one dashboard. Standard at $17 is the practical entry point. Second, Pipedrive Lite is a complete pipeline, but the automation builder, forecasting and sequences a growing team wants live on Growth at $39. Compare Standard with Growth and monday's advantage is $22 a seat. Compare Basic with Lite for a team of one or two, and Pipedrive is the cheaper tool.
Watch two things on monday's pricing page: monthly billing runs about 50% above annual, and automation actions are capped per month (250 on Standard, 25,000 on Pro).
Ease of use
Pipedrive scored 5.0 for ease of use, monday 4.5. Both are easy on day one. They diverge in week two.
In our Pipedrive test account we renamed stages, imported a spreadsheet of deals, connected email and set up the mobile app in under an hour. The product resists over-configuration by design: you cannot build a 40-field deal form by accident, and every completed activity prompts the rep to schedule the next one.
monday is just as quick to start. Pick the CRM template and you have leads, contacts and deals boards with sensible columns in minutes, and automation recipes are built by filling in a sentence, the most approachable we have tested. The challenge comes later, when the flexibility invites you to add columns, views and boards until the workspace sprawls. Appoint someone to own board design, and resist customising until you have used the template for a week.
Features that matter
The pattern in this table is consistent: monday wins wherever the platform underneath does the work, and Pipedrive wins wherever selling itself is the job.
| Feature | Pipedrive | monday CRM |
|---|---|---|
| Pipeline | Most refined we've used; deal-rotting alerts on Growth | Deals board viewable as table, Kanban, calendar, timeline or chart |
| Customization | Custom fields, stages and multiple pipelines; deliberately limited | Any column, any view, any board; templates to start from |
| Automation | Trigger-and-action builder on Growth ($39) | Sentence-style recipes from Standard ($17); 250 actions/month, 25,000 on Pro |
| Basic on Lite; full sync, tracking and sequences on Growth | Gmail and Outlook sync on Standard; mass email and sequences on Pro ($28) | |
| Calling | Web-to-mobile calls on Lite; click-to-call and caller ID on higher tiers | No native phone; connect a dialer such as Aircall |
| Lead capture and scoring | LeadBooster (chatbot, forms, prospector) and custom scoring on Premium ($64) | Thinner; not a strength of the platform |
| Quotes | E-signatures on Premium; no native quoting | Quotes and invoices from Basic (20/month), uncapped higher up |
| AI | Assistant included: next actions, deal summaries, email drafting | AI agents for outreach, lead sourcing and meeting prep from Standard; workflow builder on Pro |
| Dashboards and forecasting | Insights reports; forecast view on Growth; revenue forecasting on Premium | Widgets from any board; 5 dashboards on Standard, 50 on Pro |
| Mobile | Among the best in the category | Good for boards; CRM-specific flows less polished |
If your definition of a CRM is "the place reps log calls and move deals", Pipedrive's column matters most. If it is "the place the whole business sees what has been sold and what is being delivered", monday's does.

Integrations
monday scored 4.5 for integrations, Pipedrive 4.0. monday's list is long: Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Teams, Zoom, Google Drive, DocuSign, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, Make and hundreds more. The notable gap is telephony; you connect a dialer rather than pick up a built-in phone.
Pipedrive covers the sales stack: Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Slack, Zoom, Zapier, Mailchimp, QuickBooks, Xero, DocuSign and the major dialers, with a clean, well-documented API. It is a smaller ecosystem, and there is no first-party marketing, service or project product, so anything beyond sales means a second vendor.
The integration that decides this comparison is not on either list. If your team already runs delivery in monday.com, the hand-off from a won deal to a project board happens inside one workspace, with no connector at all. Nothing in Pipedrive's marketplace replicates that.
Support
Pipedrive includes 24/7 chat support from the $14 Lite tier, alongside email support, a good knowledge base and a video library. Phone support is limited to higher tiers. We scored support 4.5.
monday also scored 4.5. Prioritised 24/7 support with tailored onboarding is an Enterprise feature; on Basic, Standard and Pro you rely on monday's standard support and an extensive help and template library.
Who should pick Pipedrive
- Sales-only teams that want a CRM built specifically for selling, with nothing else to configure.
- Solo founders and two-person teams: $14 or $28 a month against monday's $36 floor.
- Field and phone reps who need click-to-call and a mobile app that mirrors the desktop.
- Teams that want less configuration, not more flexibility.
- Anyone not already using monday.com or a similar work platform today.
Skip Pipedrive if you need a free plan or want sales and delivery in one workspace.
Who should pick monday CRM
- Teams already running projects, operations or marketing in monday.com.
- Agencies, consultancies and contractors where a closed deal becomes a project to deliver.
- Sales processes that do not fit a linear pipeline and need custom boards and views.
- Teams that want AI agents included from $17 rather than bought as an add-on.
- Service businesses that quote often, with quotes and invoices built in from Basic.
Skip monday if you are solo, want a free plan, or sell mostly by phone. For phone-first teams, Freshsales includes calling from $9.
Decision rule: if you already pay for monday.com, buy monday CRM; one workspace beats a slightly better pipeline. If you do not, buy Pipedrive unless your sales process genuinely cannot be drawn as stages moving left to right. And if you are one or two people, the arithmetic decides for you: $14 or $28 against a $36 floor.
Frequently asked questions
Is monday CRM cheaper than Pipedrive?
Per seat, yes: monday Basic is $12 against Pipedrive Lite at $14, billed annually. But monday enforces a 3-seat minimum, so one user pays $36 a month while Pipedrive charges $14. At five seats monday is cheaper on every tier: Basic $60 versus Lite $70, and Pro $140 versus Growth $195. Pay monthly and monday's prices rise to $18, $25 and $41 per seat.
Do Pipedrive or monday CRM have a free plan?
Neither does. Both offer a 14-day free trial and then charge from the first month. The cheapest way to start is Pipedrive Lite at $14 for a single user; monday's lowest possible bill is Basic at $36 because of the 3-seat minimum. If a permanent free tier matters, look at HubSpot, Zoho CRM or Freshsales instead.
Which is better for a solo salesperson or a two-person team?
Pipedrive. It has no seat minimum, so one or two people pay $14 or $28 a month on Lite. monday charges for three seats regardless, so the same team pays $36 on Basic, and Basic's limits of 1,000 contacts and five columns per board push most real use to Standard at $51 for three seats. The gap closes at three seats and reverses at five.
Does monday CRM have built-in calling or lead scoring?
No native phone system; monday relies on integrations with dialers such as Aircall. Lead scoring is thinner than in a dedicated sales tool, and automated sequences arrive only on Pro at $28. Pipedrive offers click-to-call on higher tiers, sales sequences on Growth at $39 and custom lead scoring on Premium at $64. If phone is central to your selling, Freshsales includes calling from $9.
Can I use monday CRM if I do not already use monday.com?
Yes. monday CRM works as a standalone product with pre-built leads, contacts, accounts and deals boards. Our review calls that choice reasonable but not the obvious one: the seat minimum, the missing free tier and the thinner sales toolkit make Pipedrive the safer standalone pick. monday is strongest when a closed deal becomes a project your team delivers in the same workspace.
Conclusion
Pipedrive and monday CRM are good at different jobs. Pipedrive is the better sales tool: the clearest pipeline we have tested, calling and lead capture built in, and a product reps adopt without being asked. monday is the better platform: cheaper at five seats and up, more flexible, easier to automate, and the only one of the two that lets a won deal become a project without leaving the workspace.
