About BestCRMPick

We help small teams pick a CRM they'll still be using next year.

Choosing a CRM shouldn't take a month of demos and a spreadsheet of pricing screenshots. We do that work once, properly, and publish it in plain English — so you can decide in an afternoon.

What We Do

Three things, done carefully

We don't sell software and we don't run a directory. We review, compare, and guide.

In-depth CRM reviews

Long-form reviews built from our own trial accounts and the vendor's pricing page — with a verdict, weighted scores, a full tier table, and a clear "who should skip it."

Head-to-head comparisons

Two finalists, decided on price at your team size and on the features you'll actually use. Salesforce vs HubSpot, HubSpot vs Pipedrive, and more.

Buyer's guides that rank

Best CRM overall, for small business, for startups, and the free plans worth using — ranked with the same rubric, with every price dated.

Our Story

We started because pricing pages don't tell you what you'll pay

Every CRM vendor leads with its cheapest number. Almost nobody ends up paying it. The features that make a CRM worth buying — automation, forecasting, a third user — usually sit one or two tiers up, behind seat minimums, annual contracts, and onboarding fees that don't appear until the sales call.

We got tired of reconstructing that picture from scratch every time a friend or client asked "which CRM should we use?" So we built the process once — the same trial tasks in every tool, the same six criteria, every price checked against the vendor's own page and dated — and started publishing the results.

  1. 1
Set it up ourselves. No sales-assisted demo environments — a trial account, configured the way a small business would.
  2. 2
Score it the same way every time. Six weighted criteria, public, identical for a $15 CRM and a $550 one.
  3. 3
Say who should skip it. The most useful sentence in any review is the one that saves you a wrong purchase.

A CRM your team abandons after two weeks is the most expensive one you can buy. Everything we publish is designed to stop that happening.

How We Do Things

The rules we work by

Short version of our methodology. These aren't aspirations — they're the checks every page goes through.

Primary sources only

Vendor documentation, pricing pages, and hands-on trials. We never build a review from other review sites.

$

Pricing verified monthly

Every figure is re-checked against the vendor's US pricing page each month, and the check month is printed on the page.

%

Public weights

Ease of use 25%, features 20%, value 20%, scalability 15%, integrations 10%, support 10%. A 4.5 means the same thing everywhere.

Who should skip it

Every review and every ranked pick names the team that should choose something else. No tool is right for everyone.

2

Second-person fact-check

Nothing publishes on one person's say-so. A second team member re-checks prices, math, and every score before it goes live.

Corrections within days

Transparency

How BestCRMPick is financed

Reading this site is free, and we'd like to keep it that way. Two things pay for it:

Affiliate commissions. When you sign up for a CRM through one of our links, the vendor may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it's disclosed in the footer of every page.

Paid placements. Vendors can pay for a placement on a relevant comparison or guide page. Those are labelled, and we decline them on any page where a placement would conflict with an honest recommendation.

What money buys a vendor: a labelled link. What it doesn't buy: anything in the column on the right.

A review, a rating, or a ranking position. We choose what we review and where it lands.
A softer "cons" list or a deleted "who should skip it." Limitations stay in.
Vendor-written or sponsored content presented as editorial. We don't publish it.
A clearly labelled placement on a relevant page — never above a better-fitting tool.
A correction. Vendors are welcome to flag outdated pricing; we verify against the public page and fix it.
Who's Behind This

A small, independent editorial team

We publish under a team byline because every rating is the product of a shared process, not one person's opinion.

Editorial team · CRM software research

We research, trial, and score CRM software so buyers don't have to sit through a dozen demos. We don't sell CRM software, we don't accept guest posts, and we don't hold financial interests in the companies we review.

We read everything. Outdated pricing is fixed within days — tell us the page and the detail.
